Useful file structure
Keep later policy changes visible
Policy files often grow over time. A schedule may be followed by endorsements, riders, renewal notices and receipts. Separating those documents by category and optional effective date makes the file easier to review without changing the original source pages.
Important boundary
Organization is not policy interpretation
FormatForge does not determine which document governs coverage, whether a policy is active, how an endorsement should be interpreted, or whether a claim is covered. Always use current insurer-issued documents and appropriately qualified advice where required.
Frequently asked questions
What does the Insurance Policy Document Organizer do?
It helps organize policy schedules, policy wording, endorsements, riders, receipts and supporting files into one PDF with a cover and page index.
Does the tool interpret my insurance policy?
No. It organizes the documents only. It does not determine which document controls, whether coverage is active, or how an exclusion or endorsement should be interpreted.
Why are endorsements and riders separate categories?
They can modify or add to the base policy. Keeping them clearly categorized and dated can make a policy file easier to review, but the current insurer-issued documents remain authoritative.
Which files are supported?
PDF, JPG/JPEG and PNG files are supported. Password-protected PDFs need to be replaced with an authorised accessible copy before the final pack can be generated.
What quality checks are included?
The workspace can flag identical files, low-resolution images, PDFs with little searchable text in sampled pages, rotation metadata and password protection. These are review notes only.
Are the policy documents uploaded?
The current workflow is designed to inspect, classify, reorder and merge supported documents in the browser. You should still follow your organisation's privacy and document-handling policies.
