Long identifiers can resemble account, customer or reference numbers. The tool prefers review over silently deleting a value whose meaning it cannot know.
Card-like candidates can use a checksum check to reduce obvious false positives, but a passing pattern or checksum does not prove that the value is a real payment card.
The sanitizer is designed to process the entered text locally in the browser. Your organisation may still have separate requirements for handling confidential or regulated data.
