Crypto Average Entry Price Calculator
Combine multiple crypto buys, quantities and fees to calculate weighted average entry, total cost basis, break-even and optional unrealized P/L.
Weighted cost basis
Combine multiple buys into one true average entry
Enter each purchase price, quantity and fee. The calculator uses quantity-weighted cost basis rather than averaging prices incorrectly.

Practical workflow
Combine multiple buys into one weighted cost basis instead of averaging prices incorrectly.
Use purchase price, quantity and fees to calculate a true weighted entry and fee-adjusted break-even.
Crypto scope
Transparent calculations, not predictions
FormatForge does not recommend tokens, predict prices or tell users to buy, sell, hold or use leverage. Results depend on user-entered assumptions and may omit exchange-, tax- or market-specific factors.
Frequently asked questions
How is average entry calculated?
The calculator adds the cost basis of every buy, including entered buy fees, then divides total basis by total acquired quantity.
Why is a simple average of buy prices wrong?
A simple price average ignores how much you bought at each price. Weighted average entry reflects the quantity acquired in each lot.
Are fees included?
Yes. Enter a fee amount for each buy. The calculator adds it to cost basis and can also model an expected exit fee for break-even.
Does the tool fetch a live crypto price?
No. Market price is optional and entered manually. This keeps the calculator deterministic and independent of a price feed.
Can I use it for coins other than Bitcoin?
Yes. Enter any asset symbol and use the same weighted-cost mathematics.
Is unrealized P/L a prediction?
No. It is a scenario based only on the market price you enter.
